Sometimes, your closest friends are the hardest ones to shop for. Below is a round-up of ideas for your friends who are homebodies, beauty lovers, and those who can't sit still.
This candle smells like wealth. It smells SO good and if you've never been in an Edition hotel, the scent is similar to any fancy hotel lobby but it's quite unique. It smells clean but musky and sexy. It's light but has a great throw. It's something indulgent for your friends and despite being a semi-cliché gift, it's incredibly special. If you have the budget for it, add this. It's the best rechargeable lighter and your friend will thank you forever for it.
A cashmere wrap is so versatile. Great for the office or traveling on a plane to use as a blanket but also functions as a cozy scarf if needed. This one is incredibly soft and is very reasonably priced.
This is something I wouldn't traditionally buy for myself but love having. It's cute enough to wear out under a jacket on the weekends with sneakers but is comfy enough to lounge in all day. I love each piece separately, as well, and wear them with other things all the time.
For starters, these are the same mittens Bernie wore at the inauguration in 2021 which is just iconic but as a Vermont native, he knows the cold. Mittens aren't often something people buy for themselves I think and a really nice pair of mittens is such a nice gift. No two pairs are alike and they're handmade in Vermont.
These bags are incredibly strong and hold SO much. They don't collect a ton of sand which his so nice and if they do, it easily shakes off. It's great for vacation or for picnics or a day at the pool or beach. You can also gift tandem messages which makes this extra special for an engagement gift or just between friends (which means you get to gift yourself one, too!)
This bag is one of my favorite items. It's beautiful and incredibly durable. Mine is monogrammed with my initials and I've given it to friends before as a bachelorette gift or newlywed gift and they seem to love it, too. It's great for make-up or as an essentials bag in your purse. I like to fill it with travel sizes of some of my favorite skincare products, and gift it.
A beautiful but dainty bracelet that goes with everything and can be worn all the time can be hard to come by. This bracelet is a good weight and pretty flexible style-wise so it should hopefully suit most friends.
Hear me out: this is unnecessary in every capacity but such a luxury to have. It's something I would NEVER buy for myself but I'm so glad I have it. It smells incredible and helps a ton if you've eaten at a pungent restaurant that's left your hair smelling like you're still in the restaurant itself. It also leaves my hair silky and soft because of the moisturizing benefits and you don't need much.
This is also not a necessity but it's so cute and customization is free. If you're buying from here, purchase something for yourself, too. They make the most beautiful lotions and shower oils. Shipping is expensive (around €20) but if you buy gifts for a larger group, it's worth it and it comes in the most beautiful packaging. They usually come quite quickly, too.
This oil smells so good but natural. It's not perfume-y, rather it smells fresh and lightly floral and earthy. It's amazing for winter dry skin but even better in the summer when you need to moisturize but don't want to wear heavy lotion. It leaves the perfect glowy sheen giving you picture-perfect skin. Given this is more indulgent than lotion, it makes a great gift, too.
Another seemingly impractical gift that I absolutely love. A friend sent me this for my birthday this year and it's such a treat to use. It's THICK -- tar-like, honestly, but it's so effective. It will change your hands overnight. You need such a small amount, too, it will last forever. Plus, if you order here, you'll get the whole bag and such so it looks extra special.
Ok, I know socks are a lame gift, but these are the best high-rise socks. They're so soft and comfortable and they aren't too tight but they hold their shape well so if you're just lounging at night, you can wear them a few times.
Again, not the most riveting gift in theory, but a few friends have bought me mugs over the years and every morning when I use them, it reminds me of them and it brightens my morning a little bit. These are for a cat lover but a friend got me this Bluestone Manor mug and it makes me laugh every time I use it.
This pan is everywhere for a reason. So versatile, easy to clean, and pretty enough to leave out. Enough said!
This smells so good and feels really luxurious to use. Again, not anything I'd buy for myself but would love to receive. I've only ever used it in the form of stolen bottles form hotels but I travel with it all the time because of that and love it. Smells earthy and fresh and a bit masculine but in the sexy way.
If you live near a beach, this is a must. In NYC, we're constantly going to the beach and it's a lot to carry. This alleviates some of that burden as a backpack and makes it easier to carry your towels/sunscreen/blanket/etc. in another bag without having to carry too much in your hands.
I recently visited a friend and brought this cookbook as Barbuto is one of my favorite restaurants in the city and she loved it. She made something from it while I was visiting which made it extra special. You may want to look to see if your favorite restaurant has their own but this one is fairly simple and incredibly delicious.

I KNOW it's expensive... But it's so good. It solves all of the problems the Wetbrush has in that it's far easier to keep clean without the little balls at the end of the bristles (all the hair and dry shampoo comes right out), it's vented so you can more easily blow-dry your hair with it, and it's sturdier which means you get a better scalp scratch. It's equally stimulating and soothing. Also one of my very favorite products.
Even if your friend isn't the most eco-conscious, these are so useful and it will force them to cut back on single-use plastic while also serving them well. This size is great as it can hold a lot but doesn't take up a lot of space when not in use.
